This approach allows us to move beyond reactive, crisis-driven rescue and invest in long-term, preventative solutions -while increasing the number of animals we can help responsibly.

Investing in Prevention: $100,000 in Spay & Neuter Impact
Prevention is one of the most effective ways to reduce shelter intake and stop suffering before it begins.
As we scale, we are committed to the goal of investing $100,000 annually in spay and neuter interventions, funding thousands of preventative procedures in high-need communities. Each intervention represents animals never born into crisis and fewer lives entering already-overwhelmed systems.
This is how rescue becomes sustainable.
This is an ambitious goal, but we do believe it is possible.
Expanding Adoption
Sustainable funding allows us to responsibly expand the number of dogs we can help.
Our goal is to double the number of dogs we cycle through our rescue program and successfully place into permanent homes, while maintaining the high standards of care that define our work.
This includes:

Pulling dogs from overcapacity shelters

Providing medical care, behavioral support, and training

Allowing adequate time for decompression and rehabilitation

Prioritizing long-term placement success over speed
Scaling rescue should never come at the expense of the individual animal.
Building the Future: The FosterHaus Vision
WilsonHaus Rescue currently operates from a brick-and-mortar facility that allows us to provide consistent, hands-on care. As we grow, we are planning intentionally for the future through our Grounds for Grounds campaign.
Our long-term vision includes a custom-designed FosterHaus - a purpose-built, intimate facility focused on decompression, rehabilitation, and transition.
The FosterHaus is envisioned as:

A low-stress environment for dogs coming from high-pressure shelter settings

A space designed around behavioral health and wellbeing

A support system that complements foster homes, not replaces them

A way to expand impact without compromising care or community connection
Expanding Impact Beyond Our Own Rescue
Rescue is strongest when organizations work together.
In 2025, WilsonHaus Rescue contributed $80,700 to other rescue organizations, supporting lifesaving work across species -including equine, pig, and cat rescues. These contributions helped fund emergency care, prevention initiatives, and long-term sanctuary needs beyond our own programs.
We see collaboration not as optional—but essential.
Supporting Other Rescues Through Coffee
To expand this collaborative impact even further, WilsonHaus Coffee plans to launch a 501(c)(3) rescue affiliate program in spring 2026.
This program will allow nonprofit rescues to:

Access a sustainable fundraising model without additional overhead
Through this program, everyday purchases become shared impact-strengthening the rescue community as a whole.
